
Basic Instructor Workshop (BIWS) –
a 2-day intensive workshop taught by 2 qualified instructors can be
brought to your area for
- Cost: $2000 NCSA
affiliates that can guarantee five or more participants qualify
for a 20% discount, lowering the total cost to $1600. All expenses
for materials, instructor travel, etc. are included in this fee.
- Supplies: You must
provide a large, quiet room with an overhead projector, TV/VCR,
and audio tape player.
- Registration: (You
must agree to handle advertising and registration in your area.
You set the registration fee (subject to NCSA approval) and have
participants pay you. Only NCSA flyers and registration forms
may be used in conjunction with this event.
- Reservation Policy: To
reserve a Basic Instructor Workshop for your area, contact the
committee chair, Jean Krause,
to arrange a mutually agreeable date. A deposit of $400 will be
required to secure the reservation. The deposit is refundable
if the event is cancelled more than 30 days in advance. The balance
of the cost is due 30 days before the event.
ICS-National Certification Exam–
the 3-hr test battery can be brought to your area for
- Cost: $800 (or free if purchased
with BIWS) NCSA affiliates who can guarantee five
or more participants qualify for a 20% discount, lowering the
total cost to $640. All expenses for test materials, proctor,
etc. are included in this fee.
- Supplies: You must
provide a quiet test site with table(s) and a TV/VCR for the duration
of the 3-hr exam.
- Registration:You
must agree to handle advertising and registration in your area.
The registration fee is set by the NCSA and all proceeds go to
the NCSA. Only NCSA flyers and registration forms may be used
in conjunction with this event.
- Reservation Policy:
To reserve a National Certification Exam for your area, contact
the committee chair to arrange
a mutually agreeable date. A deposit of $200 (N/A if reserving
with a Basic Instructor Workshop) will be required to secure the
reservation. The deposit is refundable if the event is cancelled
more than 30 days in advance. The balance of the cost is due 30
days before the event.
