Since 1995, Deanna Jordan has worked
in the Chicago Public Schools early intervention center with
deaf and hard of hearing children and their families in a multi-disciplinary
setting. She has worked in deaf education since 1981 when she
established a special needs nursery program for rubella preschoolers.
Ms. Jordan served as a board member for Alternatives in Education
for the Hearing Impaired (AEHI) for four years and was its Executive
Director for two years. Ms. Jordan holds a BA in Speech and
Language from Augustana College and an MEd in Deaf Education
from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She holds Illinois
credentials as a Child Developmental Specialist and has completed
additional coursework in early childhood education from Northeastern
University. |
